Umm... don't be mad. My life's been a little nuts over these past couple months! Yes, I completely forgot about blogging! I'm sure all two of you who actually read this are saying, "Yes, Aimee.. I've been waiting to stalk your life and you've given me nothing." Well, wait no longer! I've got plenty of material for you!
We are at 15 more days, can you even believe it?!?! I think this is a good time to let all of you know that if you received an invitation and have not RSVP-ed, please do so IMMEDIATELY! My hard working mother and broke as a joke after this wedding father need to know how many people we are feeding at the reception :) THANK YOU!!
Also, Tyler and I are registered at:
DILLARDS, BED BATH AND BEYOND, AND KOHLS!!
There. I said it.
Well, amidst all this wonderful stress, I have had the pleasure of attending three fabulous showers in my honor this month. And yes, they were all beautiful! My bacherlorette party is coming up and I couldn't be more ecstatic to spend some much needed time with my GIRLS!! Can't wait to see what you crazy ladies have up your sleeves :)
The major details of the wedding are all set. We just finalized plans for the flowers today... I know, I know. No lecture necessary, I've already heard it all. Just recently, the back drop plans for the ceremony fell through so that's our biggest concern as of late.
Prayer is the best gift you could send to Tyler and I. Today was really rough for me, personally. I just felt really attacked by Satan and overwhelmed with planning a wedding while still working at my job. We both know God has us in this place for a reason but it's super encouraging to know that Satan wants to harm when we're closest to the Lord. We're both trying so hard and the end is in sight (March 28th) so just pray we stay at a sprint when we cross the finish line :)
Ok, that's about all I'm going to say for now. I did feel like this was very therapeutic- writing everything out, so maybe I'll add blogging to my everyday tasks list. Don't you just love to-do lists? Oh gosh, that topic belongs in its own blog.
Sleep well and Tyler and I hope to see you soon!

Making Some Headway!!
Christmas and New Years turned out to be great again this year! And here comes 2009, can you believe it?!
Now that the holidays have come and gone, we are back to full swing and knee deep in the wedding festivities! We are just 11 weeks away! Mom, Joyce Sass, Taylor Sass, and I went downtown to the George R. Brown center for the Bridal Extravaganza and can I just tell you how ridiculously crazy the whole thing is! Information overload is definitely an understatement. We saw some beautiful ideas, disgusting ideas, tasted some great cake samples, saw fashion shows, entered in many many drawings (keep your fingers crossed!), and loved every minute of it! We had a whole bag full of fliers from all kinds of venders!
After my dogs started barking, we went to Alfred Angelo to try on my dress :) Yes, it has arrived!! It is more beautiful than ever and I can't wait to see Tyler's face when I walk down the aisle! The girls also helped me pick out a veil to go with and it could not be more perfect- thanks ladies!
Random.. as we were leaving, we saw a tremendous amount of smoke coming from a building nearby and actually got to witness a fire before the whole rescue team arrived. It was really cool to see the firemen show up and confidently make sure their job was done well as they put out the fire and saved the day!
Biggest news on the planning front:
1. trying to decide on a photographer
2. finding out how many yards each bridesmaid needs so we can order the fabric
3. picking out the invitations on monday
4. and starting to make decisions for decorations at the reception
Since Christmas, we have:
1. booked our honeymoon spot- Excellence Playa Mujeres in Cancun, Mexico!!!
2. booked the hotel for the night of the wedding ;)
3. started the registry process... looks like we're going with Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Dillards, and Kohls (not completely final yet)
4. and ordered the tuxes for Tyler and his men, thank you Al's Formal Ware
Ok, I guess that's all I have for now- hope you all have a great weekend!

Merry Christmas!
Well would you look at that! 2008 has definitely flown by even quicker than last year! I can't believe it's already Christmas again... We're at about 3 months left until the wedding (AHHHH!!!) and, obviously, I'm just about ready to go insane :)
Tyler and I spent the past few days in Bandera, Texas near San Antonio at Medina Ranch. You should look it up, it was seriously amazing! It's this wide open area full of all kinda of animals... Raindeer, Antelope, Zebras, Caribou, Deer, Foxes, and Elk. I posted a video of Tyler on Facebook interacting with the animals that has me laughing every time I watch it!
We did some shopping in Boerne, the guys played golf, we cooked every meal, played Apples to Apples, watched home movies, had a little pool tournament between me and the guys (Normally I can hold my own, but this trip Tyler beat me every game), and had shared plenty of laughter while Blaine (Tyler's sister, Kelly's husband) video taped the entire trip.
So this Christmas we shared in the gift giving with both Tyler's family, then my family, and then with each other all on Christmas Eve night. I absolutely love his family and couldn't be marrying into a better set of in-laws. They have already accepted me as one of their own and I feel completely blessed to be apart of it very soon.
94 days... but who's counting?!
Tomorrow morning, I'll be leaving with my family for Arkansas to visit the Talley's and then head over to Dallas to spend Christmas with the Burleson's! Tyler has some work to do here in Katy so he was not able to make the trip :( but he will be greatly missed!
Once I return, there will be much more wedding planning to do such as picking out the fabric for bridesmaid dresses, officially registering at places for shower and wedding gifts, and starting to look at ideas for invitations!
Hope you all have a wonderful Merry Christmas and may Christ bless you and your families in the coming new year!
Love from us both,
Aimee and Tyler

Hellooo!
How awesome is this?! Now you can find out everything there is to know about Tyler and I being engaged and getting married (as if facebook wasn't enough)! We've finally set the date for March 28, 2009 and we couldn't be more excited :)
For the most part, this blog will just be me updating about our lives but maybe every once in a while I can twist Tyler's arm to write an entry or two ;) We're sending out our "save the dates" the first of this next week so be checking the mail for your little reminder.
Things have been so crazy with all the planning we're doing in so little time but we just really didn't want a long engagement- so we're making it work! Please please please pray for us and our families, that we actually make it through this process without killing each other (mainly my mother and i) and actually get to enjoy this time we have.
Tyler and I are planning to stay here in Katy and I'll be moving into his house in Falcon Point. I'll actually be kicking out his roommate (sorry Mike!) but we are loving the idea of still being close to our families and friends.
Stay tuned for exciting updates!
